Is Gov Perry correct should Texas break away from the Union?

If Texas was it's own country Texas would be ranked 7th in the world. To break away from another country you have to find some help. i.e. When the United States broke away from England the u.s. got some help from the French. Who would help Texas. Depends right now. China and Russia. But I serisouly doubt that the Texans would want help from China and Russia. Now if the united states became a communist country. There will be tons of countries out there that would support Texas. Second the infracture is all ready built in Texas, roads, highways, schools, hospitals, refinerys, manufacturing plants, airports, trains, and the best of all ports.etc. You would have to find away to maintain them. The freeways/highways you would have to put a toll on them like they have in Japan and in Europe. Privitatize the schools and the postal service. Third trade embargo??? that's a big iffy since most of your fuel is refined in the state of Texas. Most of your offshore rigs are in the Gulf of Mexico. Now the usa could build refinerys but that haven't built one in 20-30 years. Texas would have to lower taxes on business to keep and to draw business into Texas from the usa. Would Texas do this alone I don't think so. I could see Louisiana coming along and the other southern states. People also have said that the People will leave Texas that's true. Since a lot of americans left the u.s.. and went to Canada during the revolutionary war.
