My mom tells me to wear a ugly shoe to school...?

My mom got me a really ugly shoe and told me to wear it to school! It's ugly because theres a huge gap in the middle of the shoe where you can see my foot/sock. And I don't want anyone to see my sock. The shoe is from a brand NO ONE buys from (i went to the shop and it has no one). Plus, everyone wears Puma now, but I'm wearing a brand where I can't even pronounce! How can I sneak my old shoes to school and change it there? And please, no answers like, "Who cares about what other people think?" those aren't helpful at the moment.
