Whats the best thing to use to clean laminate flooring?

Im currently hoovering my laminate daily and mopping with a special laminate cleaner around every 2-3 days, but ive heard that mopping is bad, is this true? and what can i use instead? it needs to be cleaned not ust hoovered as i have young children.
