What can a person use to wash spills off there painted walls?

They painted the counters? That's just nuts! You should be able to wash the walls with water without hurting them. I have no idea what to do with a painted counter. I've never heard of such a thing. If you end up hurting the paint on the counter, I don't think you should be held responsible. Counters are not supposed to be painted. They're supposed to be granite or formica.
