Mean girl help?

ok so i asked i guy that i like to sadies and well i guess i beat anther girl to ask him...and well now i am getting texts from this girl saying that i was crying when i asked him...which i wasen't cause i remember that i wasnen't ....i was there...duh....and well she is saying that he told her that i was crying and only said yes out of sympathy....but the thing is is that i don't see him as that kind of a person...what do i do?
