Can a girl hypnotize a guy with her beauty??? Serious Answers Please?

Okay, I know this sounds crazy but my guy friend came over and we were talking and I asked him about something that needed to be done around the house. First he was looking down, then when he looked up,he was just staring into my eyes for the longest time. Then when he did start to speak all he could say was "no" and he was acting like he was trying to say more and couldn't. He was using he's hands to portray what he was trying to say. Then he turned his head and looked at my friend and began to talk. My friend said he was captivated by my beauty. Which I at first laughed about, but, then I was wondering why he did that? Can you hypnotize a guy? Was he freaked out that our eyes met like that or something? Any advice is appreciated.
