What are ways to fine out if you have a bench warrant?

3 months ago I was driving through NJ and was pulled over by a trooper and given a speeding ticket. I had to pay it online, so when I went home I tried to pay it but there was no record. I tried it many times over two weeks than actually called the police dept. and the court, and no record of the ticket. Would they have mailed me a letter if I had a bench warrant? Did the cop throw out the ticket? I'm going to meps this week for the military and am scared this will effect my security clearance.
