What happened to the buildings that were next to the twin towers?

I always here about the twin towers, hardly about the Pentagon. What happened to the buildings near the twin towers and how come nobody hears about them in the media? For one thing I know the media is owned by the United States, and they are told to regulate what you hear. Is there any articles/Magazines on this subject?
