Worried about algae growth in my aquarium?

leaving the lights off will help. don't ever use any "bacteria in a bottle" that stuff might work but you can't ever quit using it or your tank will go thru a mini cycle. after you use it you have to keep using it at every water change. just keep doing what you are doing and leave the lights off.
