How do you handle manipulative people?

There is this guy I was "talking" to, well.. we were suppose to go on a date, but he cancles on me last minute... well today, his ex adds me on myspace so I message her and Im like, who are you?.. and she acts like she doesnt even know who I am.. then goes on about how she told him he needed to gout out with me, but she doesnt know what his problem is and that he still has mucho feelings for her!! She is being so manipulative... and then asks me if I would want to maybe hang out????? wtf..
