My freezer door was opened and my stuff thawed out.....?

I went down to my upright freezer and the door was just slightly opened. I'm not sure how long it was like that, but all of my meat is in there. I was almost sick at the thought of throwing it all away!! Anyway, some was still pretty frozen and the items on the top were thawed out, but cold when I touched them. Nothing seemed to be smelly. Would it hurt for me to close the door and just refreeze the stuff? If I do that and then go to use the meat...would it have a smelly odor to it so that way I would know if it is bad. I don't want to use bad meat either. HELP!
